The 4th East Africa Media Training

Over 25 journalists from Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya will be converging at the Pan Afric hotel - Kenya on March 15-17, 2006 for the 4^th East Africa media training. This year’s training will focus on Conquering Poverty through Business in Eastern Africa. The three-day event will include a tour to areas exhibiting a positive business generated transformation among low resource people on the first day, while the second and third day will mainly feature lectures, brainstorming sessions and participants’ group activities. Facilitators have been drawn from the Citizen newspaper (Tanzania), Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA), Syngenta East Africa Limited, Ministry of Trade & Industry (Kenya), United States International University (Africa), The Standard Media Group, Kenya Sagamore International Public Policy Institute, Kenya Private Sector Alliance, IREN Kenya and the East African Community (EAC).
