Elections 2013: Kenya Decides

Kenyans deserve kudos  for voting with dignity during the country’s most hotly contested general elections. They have done their part and should allow the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to do the rest of the work in peace. Encouraging also is the manner in which several aspirants who lost their seats have bowed out honourably and congratulated their counterparts.

The country is undergoing a positive paradigm shift triggered  by the promulgation of the new constitution. It would be counterproductive for aspirants, voters and existing legal systems to negate the gains that have been brought by this constitution  by engaging in activities  that would  undermine positive cohesion in the country. So far, the country is on the right path. This must be sustained.
